Deathworld VS Leguin

I loved the Deathworld trilogy when I read it, but that was ages ago. Not sure if my tastes have changed since then, but I would have recommended it at the time.

Another story mentioned at that site was Ursula LeGuin's Hugo-winning novella The Word for World is Forest. It's worth seeking out.

I should have pointed out that I have the entire Deathworld trilogy sitting on my shelves. If they are anything like the early Stainless Steel Rat books, I know I'll enjoy them.

Never been too crazy about LeGuin. I think I was a bit spoiled when I took a Fantasy course in college (I could never fit the damn SF course in my schedule with my core courses) and we read her Wizard of Earthsea series. Read a few others, but again, she never really clicks with me. If anything, I'll probably get around to reading  Lathe of Heaven one day.
