Doctor Who writer open to the idea of a feature film

Steven Moffat, the scriptwriter who is taking over from Russel T. Davies as the driving force behind Doctor Who, said at a festival recently that there may be a Doctor Who movie some day. I don't think he has any knowledge that a film is imminent, but is merely open to the idea.

Another British science fiction cult show that is set for a revival is Red Dwarf. The show isn't going to get a full-on "re-imagining" that Doctor Who did, but the cast will reunite for four half-hour shows that will contain the best clips from the original series and some new sketches as well.

The owner of the African grey parrot which was able to imitate a Dalek will probably be excited by the news, if only he could find him.
