An offer for the wealthy science fiction collector without a collection

Do you want to have a top-notch collection of science fiction books in a hurry? How's this for a great offer? A bookseller is offering a complete run of hardcover first editions for every Hugo and Nebula-Award winning novel from 1953 to present. The kicker is that 95% of them are signed by the author. The price? Would you believe a mere $116,530 USD? Given the current economic climate, I'm sure there will be lots of takers. Drop two decimal places and I'll sell you my second-hand paperback editions.

The bookseller making the offer, The Fine Books Company, has an impressive catalogue of collectable science fiction and fantasy books and periodicals. If you're going to waste money on collectables, you might as well do it on things like these which are actually collectable and not the made-for-collectors junk you find at most SF conventions like Star Trek collectors' plates or special editions of DVDs, all of which will be completely worthless one day, if not already.
