NASA may delay its return to the moon or it may not go at all

Wasn't I saying recently that I'd probably never live to see a man set a foot on Mars? NASA says it may delay its return to the moon beyond 2020 because of budget problems. There's even talk that they may abandon the idea entirely. If they can't afford to go to the moon, how are they going to find the money to get to Mars?

The Russians say that they're aiming to get to the moon by 2015 to mine helium-3. The Americans will have to content themselves with restoring old Surveyor photos while one of the last men to step foot on the moon embarrasses himself with stories of UFOs and aliens. The crowd that believes NASA has been covering up the presence of alien observers on the moon just laps it up.
