Fans try to figure out what went wrong with Terminator Salvation

It's interesting to see  how disappointed fans were with Terminator Salvation. As good as Star Trek was, Terminator Salvation was the opposite. It sucked and a lot of people are trying to figure out why.

This writer offers 9 reasons why it failed, including actress Moon Bloodgood not taking off her top at any point in the film.

This writer offers another set of explanations, none of which include a lack of female nudity. The more sobre analysis comes from The Guardian which wonders if perhaps audiences are actually looking for science fiction movies with original ideas. As much as I'd like to believe that, I doubt if that is what happened with this movie, not that I have personally seen it so I can't vouch for any of these opinions, but the consensus seems to be negative.

No matter how bad the final product, it probably could have been fixed at the scriptwriting stage. On the recent anniversary of the release of the first Star Wars movie, this observer noted how awful the first drafts of its script were, yet look how it turned out in the end.
