Pin-up fans meet to recreate cheesy sci-fi movie poses

The amazing thing about the internet is how it makes it so easy for followers of  various sub-cultures to communicate with like-minded people. Until I read about it in Fangoria, I never knew that one of those groups was dedicated to recreating pin-up photography and that there is a group in New York City that meets periodically where women dress up in racy retro garb and others take their photos.

Recently, the NY Pin-Up Club met to pay tribute to the cheesy sci-fi flicks of the 1950s. Here are some of the photos from that meetup. Want more? Here are some other shots from the session.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly paid tribute to the sci-fi cheesecake of our era and offered up their Sci-Fi Hotties of 2009. To avoid being labelled sexist, they also have a sci-fi beefcake list.

And while we're posting links to photos of good-looking women, here's one that features the top ten princesses of sci-fi and fantasy.
