A list of top 10 science fiction movie lists

Need some quick visits to your blog? Type up a list of your favourite science fiction movies and call it a top 10 list. Better yet, offer a list of 100 movies. How exactly do you differentiate between the movie that is in 75th spot and the one that is in 99th?

Needless to say Blade Runner topped the list mentioned above. It's almost become dogma to call it the best science fiction film ever, but is it really? It's certainly nowhere to be found in the top box office grossing movies, not that that is any barometer of a film's quality. The Phantom Menace comes in 6th place on that list.

Wired has approached the typical top 10 list with a bit of imagination. They have broken there's down into two lists. The first is all movies that are pre-Star Wars and the other is all movies post-Star Wars, with the assumption that Lucas' masterpiece is at the top of that list. Too bad they had to break down the list by putting one movie and photo per screen, forcing you to click multiple times so they can force more ads that you are probably already ignoring.

Here's another approach. List the top 10 movies that should not be remade. The assumption is that these films are so good that you can't improve on perfection.
