Philip K. DickPhilip K. Dick is one of those writers that still intrigue us, years after his death. Why else would anyone deign to interview him posthumously? Here's a DOA Q&A with the cult figure. It's actually an adaptation of a 1978 essay of his, but cut up in an interview format in a clever fashion.

One of the things that fascinates me about Dick is his strange mental state and how that carried over into his writing. I suspect that is what makes many of his stories so unique. For some evidence of his paranoid thought processes, here's a letter he once wrote to the FBI. If it had anybody else's name on it, we'd probably think it was from a crazy person.

Would it surprise you to learn that yet another Dick story is being adapted for the big screen? The latest is an adaptation called The Adjustment Bureau which is based on his story The Adjustment Team. Dead authors are the best

Despite his popularity in Hollywood, Dick didn't enjoy a lot of critical success during his lifetime. He only ever own the Hugo award one time which means you won't find his name on this interesting graphic of Hugo winners by number of awards won.
