Nimoy talks about his role on ABC's Fringe

Leonard Nimoy on Fringe as William Bell
If Fringe is this generation's X-Files, it now has it's own version of the Cigarette-Smoking Man in the character of William Bell which is played by iconic actor Leonard Nimoy,

Nimoy was recently interviewed by a gaggle of journalists and bloggers and they're write-ups have been popping up all over the place.

The L.A. Times wrote about what drew Nimoy to the character and how his involvement with J.J. Abrams on Star Trek got him the job with Abrams' show.

Geek Sugar offered a round-up of factoids gleaned from the call, including the unlikelihood of Nimoy reprising his Spock role in any future Star Trek movies. Cinemablend took a similar tack, but offered an even longer list of easy-to-scan factoids.

IO9 wrote about Nimoy's opinion about the state of science fiction on film and in television.

ABC also published an article about Nimoy's appearance on Fringe.

Finally, Airlock Alpha reports that the show has some heavy competition on Thursday nights, but the fans are loyally recording it and watching it on their PVRs. I know I've been faithfully downloading the episodes. Now if I can only find time to actually watch them, but first I've got to finish the final season of Battlestar Galactica and maybe even start last year's Doctor Who episodes.

No More Recording

I had to give up recording Fringe. I liked it when I watched it but somehow it just wasn't  drawing me in to watch the episodes on the PVR. So many other things I've been recording that I can't fit in the time. May be a possible DVD series in the future. Also........Survivor is on Thursday night.....there, I said it.
