Writer Richard Morgan scripting three video games for EA

Science fiction author Richard Morgan is working with Electronic Arts to write three video games. If they are half as good as his book Altered Carbon, then they'll be fantastic.
Having science fiction writers work on video games is nothing new, but having video game coders write sci-fi novels isn't nearly as common. Atari founder Nolan Bushnell is supposed to be writing an SF novel. Now, that sounds interesting.
I grew up on Atari video games so Bushnell's book is something I would certainly read. My favourite games on my Atari 800 were the Infocom text adventures. They are the perfect type of game for anyone who likes to read. If you are nostalgic for those days, you can play all the Infocom games online.
And just to prove that having SF authors work on video games is nothing new, pay attention to the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy game which was a Douglas Adams creation. He also wrote the game Bureaucracy for them.
If you think text adventures are lame, just imagine what graphic wonders await gamers in the year 2118.
