Let's hope The Fourth Kind is the last of its kind

The Fourth Kind
A week too late for Halloween comes The Fourth Kind, a science fiction-horror movie which is getting terrible reviews. Over on Rotten Tomatoes, it garners a 17% positive rating while on Metacritic it's a bit more respectable at 34, but still not great.

From what I've read about it, the movie is a weird mixture of truth and fiction, complete with documentary footage meant to add to its verité, but from the sound of it, doesn't succeed at entertaining many people. The A.V. Club's review is a typical example of the sort of write-ups it is getting.

I think I'll take a pass on this one. I don't usually like to watch movies which mix genres like this. Sometimes they work, but more often than not they fail to satisify science fiction fans and horror fans alike.
