Welcome 2008 with the Website at the End of the Universe's free downloadable calendar

Once again The Website at the End of the Universe is offering its annual science fiction calendar to you as a free PDF download and once again helpless females in metal bikinis continue to be threatened by bug-eyed aliens who just can't get enough of Earth women.

Each month of the 2008 calendar features a different pulp cover with a different space babe in peril as well as a list of famous science fiction birthdays.  Download your copy for free from here

If you want to check out previous editions of the calendar, click on the following links to get the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 installments.

If you're new to TWATEOTU, don't just leech the calendar and run. Take a second to add our newsfeed to your reader so you can get a regular injection of irregular science fiction links throughout the year.

I hope your 2008 is a happy and prosperous one and that all of your science fiction dreams come true.

Thanks for the 2008 Calendar Capitain!

It'll keep me happy for another year (and the office boys scratching their heads).

I want to add my thanks. This calendar is currently the one I use on my bulletin board now.

Danke for the 2008 SF Calendar Cap!

see title.

Though I do have 1 complaint.  (you would - Ed) the femmes all remind me of the sort of idealized femme that I apparently am having great difficulty locating on this planet.

*pause*

Stop doing that.

Excellent job as usual Cap, thanks!

thanks for the calendar!

But I do have one complaint: most of the covers have the month the mag was issued written on them, which isn't the same as the calendar month. A bit of resorting would create internal consistency. Otherwise, fantastic job!

Matching months

It's a valid point. I think I may have done that in a previous calendar, but am not sure why I didn't keep doing it. I'll try to remember for next year, which is a mere 8-1/2 months away.

Captain X -

I have a suggestion for your 2009 (and after) Sci Fi Calendars. Every April 12th there is a party acros the world held in honor of Yuri Gagarin's (and therefore Humainty's) first flight into space. It's called "Yuri's Night" and it embodies the hopes and dreams of everyone that is a fan of Sci Fi. Here's a link with more info.

Thanks!

Cosmonautics Day

Hi V-Man and welcome to TWATEOTU. Yuri's Night certainly sounds like something worth celebrating, although I kind of like the original name of Cosmonautics Day. I don't know if it woud fit into the current format of the calendar, but I'll certainly consider it when I get off my duff to actually create it for next year.
